Found Drawings

Photobucket

One of the dreamiest things I can think of finding tucked in between the deteriorating pages of an old book is a little drawing. There's something really special about finding an old doodle by some kid or little sketches drawn inside some girl's elementary school notebook. So far I've only found one doodle hidden inside an old book I've found, and it is already framed and hanging on my wall! But, I was browsing through the photostream of the always incredible Swapatorium2 and discovered a whole set of found drawings and doodles. I can't even imagine stumbling upon half of these! They make my heart beat a little faster!

These are amazing!! It's so funny to think that there was a time when girls would draw pictures of Joan Crawford and Ziegfeld Follies girls .. . it's wonderful!

I love these! I bought a cool old fashion drawing from the early 40's a while back and still need to blog about it.

I love when that happens! I was going through old books at the antique store today too and found little notes here and there, it's the best of surprises! :)

Fantastic! These would look so great framed in mis-matched wooden frames all bunched together on a wall.

I love these! I'm happy you found them, even if they're on the internet and trapped between the pages of one of your books!
